Welcome to Eventum ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and our website (eventum.dev).

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us and information automatically collected when you use the App.

A. Personal Information You Provide

Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. This is required to secure your account and synchronize your data across devices.

Waitlist & Communications: If you sign up for our waitlist on our website or contact us for support, we collect your email address and any content included in your message.

User Content (Third-Party Data) & Ownership: We store the data you create within the app, including team rosters, player names, match events, statistics, and configuration settings.

Data Ownership: You retain full ownership of all the match and team data you input into the App. You have the right to completely delete this data at any time.

Important Note for Coaches/Users: By entering third-party data (such as player names) into Eventum, you act as the Data Controller for that specific data. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right or appropriate consent from the players (or their legal guardians, if minors) to enter their names and track their match statistics in the App.

B. Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data: We may collect anonymous data on how you interact with the app features to improve the user experience.

Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device, including device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers, primarily for debugging and crash reporting.

3. How We Use Your Information & Legal Basis

Under the GDPR, we must have a valid legal basis to process your data. We use your information for the following purposes:

No Commercial Sale of Data: We will never sell your user-generated content (including player names, match events, or team stats) to third parties, data brokers, or advertisers for commercial or marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services & International Transfers

Google Firebase: We use Firebase for Authentication (secure logins), Cloud Firestore (cloud database syncing), and Crashlytics/Analytics (performance monitoring).

International Transfers: Google operates globally. Therefore, data processed by Firebase may be transferred to servers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), such as the United States. These transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or Google's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

5. Data Retention and Security

Security: We implement industry-standard security measures (including encryption in transit and at rest provided by Google Firebase) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access or alteration.

Retention: We retain your account information and match data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your personal data and associated match data will be permanently deleted from our active databases.

Eventum is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 14 in Spain for consent purposes without parental approval). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. As stated in Section 2.A, coaches/users are responsible for obtaining parental consent before tracking data of minor players.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
